– Enjoy the Sake and Savor event, from 7 to 9 p.m. Attendees will get
an introduction to the art of making sake, the basis of quality levels
and the distinctive taste differences while enjoying five different
kinds of Gekkeikan sakes that will be uniquely paired with five
specially selected items from the Genki dinner menu. Cost is only $35
per person in advance and $40 for walk-ins. There is limited
availability so reservations are strongly encouraged. For more

business hours and Wine Wednesday will continue as usual with special
discounts on wine bottles.

– Thursday Genki will commemorate the 1st anniversary of the
Virginia-Highland Genki opening! To celebrate, Genki will be giving away
a free Virginia-Highland Roll to each table, all day and all night at
that location. Regular business hours and dinner service will continue
while Genki Noodles and Sushi hosts an invite-only private event as
thank you to the community on the patio from 7 to 9 p. m. I'll be there
with bells on.

The celebration continues into the weekend with another favorite weekly
series event, Genki After Dark. Enjoy fantastic music and terrific
deals from 10 p.m. until closing. The special late night menu featuring
menu favorites and $3 well cocktails, hot sake, draft beer and well
wines.
Sunday, June 24, 2012 –
Celebrate the end of the week family-style at Genki in
Virginia-Highland with Sunday Supper. Parties of six and more can now
order from Genki’s new family-style menu, created just for large
parties. Of course, Genki will continue its weekly tradition of hosting
Sake Sunday where diners are invited to enjoy $1 sushi nigiri, $3 rolls,
$3 Genki draft beer, $3.50 sake bombs, and $5 cold sake.
